THE TRACEY FRAGMENTS

HI again.
I didn’t really think anyone read my blog, so I kinda just stopped blogging but then someone commented on an old blog of mine and I guess I could start blogging a bit again.

I want to advertise a movie for you guys. It’s called THE TRACEY FRAGMENTS and it’s amazing. It’s starring Ellen Page (from Juno, which is also LOVE). She’s so cool I think and I see a great future ahead of her. I don’t really want to say too much about what goes on in the movie. One of the great things about it is that there isn’t really all that much going on… We see everything in flashbacks and fragments which makes it very interesting. It is very indie and artsy but for me that’s a good thing, so if you’re into that kinds stuff: Enjoy!

Oh yeah, and this is how the movie is filmed some of the time. It has so many interesting pictures.

RUST

Yesterday I had one of the best nights out ever, in DK. First Fie came over for dinner and we did some catching up. Then we went to Tivoli (The Danish amusement park) where we met up with a friend of ours, also called Fie, and we walked around looking at the beautiful lights talking. Fie had Some free tickets for us which was awesome. Then we saw the Alphabeat concert at the big stage in Tivoli. I’m not sure I really like them, cause they’re not really my type but the male lead singer was soo awesome and crazy. Think he might have been on drugs though. He jumped around like a madman and kept hitting himself with a tambourine which eventually broke but he was crazy in a good way. It was very amusing to watch.

Afterwards we went to Rust, where we met up with our friend Gabriel. Some of Fie II’s friends were playing there. It’s a Balkan band called Tako Lako. Again, not really my type of music but they were so talented and the music was actually pretty good. People went crazy and we jumped and danced around. We weren’t on the guest list but Gabriel thought that he was, so as the doorman and Fie I were looking for Gabriel’s name on the list, she spotted two girls names and said we were them, so we got in for free at Rust as well. I feel kinda bad for the two girls if they showed up later and were crossed off the list because of us but what the heck. It was a free night for us.

Later at Rust, Melissa, Unni and Ida showed up, which was great. I haven’t seen them for a while and I really miss Lis, since she’s moved to Kolding. Lis and I talked a bit and danced a lot. The DJ’s were great and we just had a great time. Then Lis and I walked home and that was the end of a beautiful night.

New favorite T-shirt

My friend Rosa wanted to give me a birthday present but didn’t quite know what to get me. She was going to order some stuff from American Apparel so she asked me if there was anything from Aa that I wanted, so she could order that too and give it to me as a birthday present. I am so looking forward to getting it! I chose this amazing T-shirt that I predict will be my new favorite T-shirt! You like?

An angel in front of each of my doors

I once heard a story, a true story. I’m not sure I remember the details right but it is an amazing story about God’s power and love for us. A Christian Chinese woman was living in her small house up in the mountains I think. The fact that she was a Christian was not well looked upon, so the men in her town decided to go up to her house one night and kill her. (As I recall). She was scared and begged God to protect her. The fallowing day, when nothing had happened, she went down town. In the town many people asked her who she had guarding her house. She was a poor woman, so she wouldn’t be able to afford any guards. The woman had no idea what the people in her town were talking about. It turned out that what the men had seen, was the woman’s house surrounded by angels with swords. They were all glowing and the men returned to their homes in fear. This woman had no idea how God was going to protect her. It is funny how God sometimes have a solution that we could never come up with ourselves.

I can be quite paranoid sometimes and whenever my boyfriend is at work, so I have to sleep alone, I am very scared that someone will break into our apartment. This story inspired me, so I asked God if he would put an angel in front of each of my doors to protect me during the night. Tonight I had the first night alone without nightmares and without laying awake for hours before being able to fall asleep. Of course you can question whether or not God really put angels in front of my doors. I can’t tell whether or not he did, though I am absolutely sure that he is able to. But what I do know is that he gave me the peace of mind that I needed to have a good night sleep.
I love the idea of God sending a worrier angel to protect me and I really want a tattoo of a warrior angel. I found this picture of an angel (not the girl underneath it – uuh which by the way is Jeanne d’arc). I wanted this tattoo beneath my right breast but the tattoo artist said that it would have to be really big if I wanted all the details. Such a shame, so I am now looking for a perhaps simpler drawing or picture. If you have one laying around or know where I might be able to find one, please leave a comment :) Thanks

Strøm

Yesterday I went to “Strøm” (electricity) in Enghave parken. Electronic festival – absolutely amazing! Especially Modeselektor from Germany. They made us dance a lot! This event was so awesome that it almost made up for not going to the Roskilde festival. Wish my friends had been there though but we’ll do that next year. There was very much of a festival vibe. The best thing that Modeselektor did was include a song by Björk and Antony. Can you imagine a better combo? And then mixed with their own electronic beats. Two of the guys stood up front with microphones and pretended that they were the ones singing. It was really warm too, even though summer’s almost over. It really made me appreciate living in Vesterbro!

A piece of Icelandic love

I totally forgot about this band but then I heard an interview with them on Swedish radio and now I would like to share it with you. The band is called Amiina and it’s four girls who play on different strange instruments such as the saw. I really like it, it’s a bit like Sigur Ròs which is pure love… So, here is one of their songs.

My wedding dress

Berlin is a great place to go to second hand shops and flee markets. We went to a Turkish market where I bought a lot of fabric to make summer dresses from. We also went to another flee market and I think I found my wedding dress! I didn’t buy it though but I have been thinking about my wedding dress lately and how I might want it to look but didn’t really have an idea. Not until I saw this dress though. It is not a huge princess dress filled with tulle but it is so sweet and romantic. I didn’t buy it, cause I’d want the fabric to be new, but I took a picture of it, so who know; I might get a dress maker to sew it for me some day…

The dress

I bought two dresses at a great second hand shop. It’s really big and called Colors. You pay by weight, just like when you go buy candy :) You will find it on Gneisenaustrasse where there are also a lot of antique stores.

btw. you're welcome to comment on the dress or my blog in general :)

oh, where to sleep?

It’s always good to do some research on where to stay and the prices, before you go on vacation. We also did that this time and City Stay sounded nice and affordable. Our friends stayed at the Wombat which we had also looked at but we had misunderstood the prices. Unfortunately! For 50 euro we got a room with two separate beds. Not the biggest problem, we could have just pushed them together… Then we shared baths and toilets with the rest of the people from our hall. That sucked when you had to go pee at night but it was bearable. The worst part was that the metal bed was so noisy! It made noises when you just sat down or turned around in it which didn’t really encourage for to much romance, if you know what I mean… So don’t stay at the City Stay.

The wombat however was awesome. At the same price, you get a nice room with your own toilet and shower and even a small terrace where you could sit an enjoy a drink and the wonderful view of Berlin. And yes, the bed was problem free, so now I know where to stay next time, The Wombat!

Both hotels/hostels were in a great area near Münzstrasse! Which I will write about later. The best area ever.

Last time we were in Berlin, we stayed at Alcatraz Backpacker hostel. It was very nice too and also in a good area near Kastanienalle. They even have a kitchen where you can cook your own food and it is just very hippie and cozy. That, I could also recommend.

Berghain - Panorama bar

The two best party nights I’ve ever had have been at Panorama in Berlin. It is so awesome. I must warn you that it would not suit most of my friends but for me it is absolutely perfect! Unfortunately I don’t have any pictures of it, cause you’re not allowed to bring your camera and yes, they will body search you to make sure you don’t have one. To make it easier for you and so that you don’t have to read a whole novel, I will tell you about it in cue words or sentences.

- Old huge storage building
- big security guard with tattoos and piercings all over his face
- huge picture of a pussy on the wall
- nice electronic beats
- gay guys lining up in front of the condom vending machine
- some of the guys are more beautiful women than the women
- Asian she male called Miau
- loads of dancing
- some guy licking my ear
- boyfriend saying “That’s my wife”!
- stay until the sun is shining
- party your socks off cause the best thing – nobody knows you or will ever see you again

If you need or want further explanations please drop a comment. Questions about the place are also very welcome :)

I heart Berlin

I just got home from a weeks vacation in Berlin. It was an amazing trip, as Berlin is amazing and so is boyfriend. My parents were there as well so we met up with them a couple of times and boyfriend’s buddy Rasmus and his girlfriend Chris were there too, so we hung out with them a lot. The next couple of blogs will be about Berlin and the different joys of the city. You can read it to just learn about my vacation but you can also use it as a guide for if you are going to Berlin. It will hopefully be very helpful :)

I heart Gummo

I just saw one of my favourite movies called Gummo. Directed and written by Harmony Korine. It is so amazing. Not the kind of movie that people usually watch but I don’t really care for the all American feel good movies anyway so… The pictures are so cool and the characters are just so interesting! You can watch it at http://www.megavideo.com/ep_gr.swf?v=43RNK33G the quality is of cause not as good as it would be on DVD but you should still go watch it if you wanna see a different and awesome movie :)

-and Chloë Sevigny is in it. Oh, and you can see her boobs ;)

Graduation

Yay! I’ve graduated. Feels so good. It’s been three years of joy and depression, hard work and well, too much ditching of both classes and homework. I liked my class but am not too sad to leave them, I figure the ones that truly meant something to me will hang on in the future. I don’t only feel free though. This change brings a lot more responsibility and I now have to go find a job, get a drivers license and finally be serious about which education I want.
My adult life hereby begins

Well after all the parties that is ;)

Lis, my star throughout high school

Cathrine, friend through almost 19 years

Boycotting Cheap Monday

I was planning on buying a pair of Cheap Monday jeans, cause well, they look good and their cheap but then I found out, that it’s not just a wrinkle in the forehead of the scull, it’s an inverted cross! And apparently the maker of the jeans sympathies with satanic cults and says that “It is an active statement against Christianity”! So I will NOT be buying the jeans and I will NOT support the brand. Sometimes in life we need to make sacrifices to stand up for what we believe in and this, small as it may be, is one of them! So if you do not sympathize with Satanism, I advise you to do the same! Thank you

Just say NO

Bless distortion

The final distortion party was awesome! Probably the party of the year in Copenhagen. There were so many people everywhere, approximately 3000. We didn’t get to see the whole place cause it was so huge but the basement area was pretty cool. The lights were awesome and very mesmerizing to me. On one of the floors upstairs there were amazing DJ’s and a lot of people dancing, including boyfriend and I. Can’t remember the last time I danced that much. The atmosphere was amazing, a bunch of people gathering at the same place just to have fun and party. The crowd consisted of every type of people which just made the atmosphere even better. There also was an amazing view when you were standing on the stairs outside looking over Ørestaden. The whole thing was very Berlin, which of cause can only be a good thing! Can’t wait to go to Berlin and visit Panorama bar and yet again, dance the night away.

The mesmerizing lights. This picture doesn’t pay it justice though. The blitz is doing so you can’t see that there was actually like a blanked of red and orange lights over our heads and you could see the smoke slowly dancing in it.

God’s serenity in a juicy honeydew melon

God can really be so funny sometimes. I lay talking with him a bit today and I was tired but couldn’t fall asleep, so I prayed and asked God to let me feel his presence and make me calm so I could doze off. This is where the humorousness comes in; he “appeared” as a juicy slice of sweet honeydew melon and by every bite I took, I could feel his serenity and presence just fill me up. It was amazing and I felt so serene but still couldn’t help laughing a bit. Thanks God, for inventing humor.

The joy of praying for friends

I have never kept it a secret that I’m a Christian and found myself drunk saying “Jesus loves you Rasmus” last Saturday. Well, I will start praying for my friends more often, not that I don’t already but I will also let them know that I’m doing it. Maybe they’ll feel something and believe that it is because I’ve prayed for them… I talked with a friend from school about the exams. I had my final exam yesterday and he had his today. He said that he would have his fingers crossed for me which is very nice and I told him I would pray for him. That’s sort of what I can contribute with. Well I just received a message from him that said that he just got an A+ at the exam :) Of cause it’s not just because I prayed for him. God doesn’t just throw A+s to everyone who asks for it but I believe and hope that God has given him the concentration and calmness necessary to succeed perfectly at this exam. He thanked me for praying for him and that warmed my heart. I hope praying for my friends will someday make a difference in someone’s heart.

I would love to pray for you too, so if anyone even actually reads this blog and needs me to pray for them, feel free to write me a comment. You don’t even need to believe in anything or have a certain subject, so feel free to ask :)

Distortion

Fantastic days to look forward to! Distortion in Cph includes a lot of dancing and loving and inhaling of great tunes and great atmosphere. Wednesday – tomorrow @ City, block party from 6 pm – 11 then the party will probably move on to “The Rock” where Vice magazine is hosting the party. Hope to see you there ;)

CHOICES

Today I will reopen my blog! And my first post will be prompting this amazing Danish band I just got to know. The band exists of two guys and is called CHOICES. I am currently addicted to the songs “Specify all angels” and “The art of whispering”. They sound a lot like mew, which is a good thing. I guess all artists want to stand out and not be compared but this compliment from me is one of the finest, since mew owns a bit of my heart. Go check them out at http://www.myspace.com/choicesofcyan
